Bioveta, a.s. produces a range of vaccines for cats under the name Biofel

 Biofel vaccines protect cats against these serious diseases:

  • panleucopoenia
  • herpetic infections
  • calicivirus infection
  • rabies
  • Lyme disease
  • skin mycotic disease (Microsporum canis)

Vaccine against panleucopoenia, herpetic and calicivirus infections in cats 

  • for active immunisation of cats against panleucopoenia, herpetic and calicivirus infections 
  • cats are vaccinated at the age of 8 to 10 weeks
  • cats are revaccinated after the primovaccination within the 3rd to 4th week with Biofel PCHR vaccine
  • the onset of protective immunity is 2 to 4 weeks after the revaccination
  • further regular revaccinations of cats are performed with Biofel PCHR vaccine in 12 month intervals
  • dose: 1 ml regardless age, weight and breed of the individual
  • route of administration: s.c., best in the region behind scapula

Inactivated vaccine against Microsporum canis in cats

  • for prevention and therapy of skin mycotic disease in cats caused by Microsporum canis dermatophyte
  • it is administered to cats from the age of 8 weeks
  • animals vaccinated for the first time require revaccination within the 10th to 21st day
  • in case of therapeutic vaccination, it is also possible to administer the third vaccination dose in 10 to 21 days after the revaccination
  • immunity is created within 1 month after the revaccination and persists at least 1 year
  • to maintain permanent immunity in cats, a regular yearly revaccination is required
  • dosage: 1mL regardless age, weight and breed of the individual
  • route of administration: s. c. or deep i. m.
  • packaging: 2 x 1 dose, 10 x 1 dose, 20 x 1 dose
  • vaccine is not polluting the environment with virulent Microsporum canis spores and it is therefore suitable for the elimination of the causal agent from the population of sensitive animals
  • breeders evaluated the simplicity of the injection administration of the Biofel M Plus vaccine compared with previous stressing handling with animals during administration of e.g. tablets, ointments, gels, solutions and other medicinal products intended for the therapy of dermatophytosis.

Dermatophyte fungi are important pathogens for human as well. Their zoonotic potential is very high. If there is a cat in the family with an obvious or unapparent infection caused by Microsporum canis, there is a 30 to 70% risk of an infection of one member of the household.

Inactivated vaccine against Lyme disease in cats

  • contains European strains of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato (strain B. garinii and B. afzelii)
  • it is administered to cats from the age of 12 weeks
  • during primovaccination is performed revaccination within 14 to 21 days
  • it is highly efficient and protective - protects vaccinated cats against Lyme borreliosis reliably for 12 months
  • annual revaccination is necessary in order to maintain permanent immunity
  • dose: 1 ml regardless of age, weight and breed of the individual
  • route of administration: s.c. or i.m.
  • packaging: 2 x 1 dose, 10 x 1 dose 

Vaccinated cat:

  • shall not get borreliosis
  • shall not become a new source of infection for ticks and stinging insects
  • ticks and stinging insets free of infection cannot spread the infection further on you

Lyme disease is the most frequent human and animal disease transferred by ticks. You protect yourself with an early vaccination of cats!
